Sanofi Pasteur announces end of HIB allocations

While the increased HIB allocations late last year allowed a more plentiful supply of both Pentacel®c and ActHIB®d, some members still found their Hib allocations challenging in meeting their patient needs.

Sanofi pasteur has now announced the removal of all Hib vaccine allocations in the private sector to ensure more than adequate supplies of Pentacel and Adacel for our offices. This Hib allocation removal will allow us to:

Maximized VaxMax discounts and savings by ordering Pentacel and ActHib in whatever quantity they need for their private patients
Utilize Pentacel for all 4 doses in the primary series
Utilize ActHib for the 4th dose in a single entity schedule
Maintain or increase contract compliance through maximizing the current hib schedule with Pentacel or ActHib
While, at this time,  the Hib allocation removal is only affecting the private sector, the CDC will announce their plans for Hib allocation removal in the future.
Utilization of Sanofi Pasteur HIB vaccines fullfills our contract and compliance requirements.   Thank you.
