While the increased HIB allocations late last year allowed a more plentiful supply of both Pentacel®c and ActHIB®d, some members still found their Hib allocations challenging in meeting their patient needs.

Fluzone- Updated Shipping Information

Dear Participating Office,

Sanofi Pasteur is making all reasonable efforts to deliver both Fluzone vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine as quickly as possible, but this effort continues to present production and shipping challenges. They are working at maximum capacity to produce a total of 125 million doses of influenza vaccine in the time it typically takes to produce 50 million doses of Fluzone vaccine.

As you are aware, the nation is taking extraordinary steps to ensure that it is prepared to address the influenza A (H1N1) pandemic. This effort requires the close cooperation of government agencies, health-care providers, vaccine manufacturers, and many others involved in public health efforts within the US. Sanofi Pasteur has taken on the very important role of manufacturing an influenza A (H1N1) pandemic vaccine for the US government, as well as 50.5 million doses of Fluzone®, Influenza Virus Vaccine to protect against seasonal influenza.
